The B-Line Supercomfort Armchair is a reproduction of the original iconic design by Joe Colombo in 1964.
It is therefore part of B-Line’s signature Timeless series, among other renowned designs that have been restored and reproduced.
It is formed from a wooden frame and upholstered booster cushions.
The Supercomfort Armchair was designed following an extensive ergonomic study on posture. The wooden frame was initially intended to be a single cut-out, which then became a combination of two cut-outs during the manufacturing stage: one for the backrest-seat-armrest and another for the legs.
The anatomical booster cushions are precisely partitioned into various sections, which in combination with the meticulously shaped frame, are designed to offer maximum comfort when seated.
Since its inception, Colombo’s Supercomfort Armchair—with its deliberate and functional configuration—has become an icon of furniture design in its own right.
