Tamara White Pendant Lamp

The inspiration for these innovative, refined lamps produced by German label him+her came from the material. Light diffuses softly through an inner cylinder made of translucent paper, and a two metre long power cable and white ceiling cap are provided.

"Rolf and Franz - a friendship and the beginning of a story of a collection of lights Franz had an idea. The idea of a very simple , lovable product that enriches the homely environment and is a charming counterpoint to our over engineered world. With this idea, he went long pregnant and already had a formal vision, but the baby did not come quite to the world. So he tells it someday his friend Rolf, whose job it is after all to give things a beautiful shape. Rolf was highly impressed immediately started the development. But there were so many questions? Which material? Which design ? But the answers came naturally. The chosen material was boxboard. Familiar to anyone warm, aesthetically white easy to work with and on top of that ecologically. The design was clear but how to connect the parts to a stable body? How to design a beautiful light distribution Everything should be out of paper, even the packaging. This was an intensive, but fulfilling phase of trial and succeed. After an uncounted number of attempts the lights had their final form. Of course there were other challenges like producing, but all the lovely people around the two who were just as enthusiastic about the idea, gave them the necessary support. Then it was born - the first him + her lamp collection .Since then a lot happened, a growing number of beautiful designs, a growing number of enthusiasts identifying with the idea of sustainable luminaire with pure and simple designs."
