Steel and its maintenance

Steel is an alloy of iron and carbon with a carbon percentage of less than 2%. It is specially treated to withstand the effects of atmospheric agents through a process called cataphoresis, followed by powder coating.

To ensure the longevity of your product, we advise regular cleaning, especially in areas with high humidity or a maritime climate. Cleaning the surfaces with a gentle cloth using water or mild, neutral detergents is recommended. Prolonged exposure to intense UV radiation or extremely low temperatures can potentially impact the initial properties of the coloured polyester coating. During extended periods of non-use and the winter season, it is advisable to clean the frame and cover the furniture to preserve its condition.

IROKO Wood:

IROKO wood is a unique timber with a wide range of mechanical, physical, and technological properties. Despite its hardness, it exhibits remarkable workability and resilience to external stresses. Its exceptional stability and medium-to-high hardness contribute to its resistance against deformation, ensuring excellent durability.

STONEWOOD:

STONEWOOD is another type of wood that is preferred  for crafting high-quality furniture. This compact wood, known for its ease of processing and resistance to splintering, boasts a light reddish-brown hue and emits an aromatic scent due to its distinctive essential oil, rich in camphor.

Wood maintenance:

As a natural material, wood may exhibit colour variations and occasional cracks as a response to changes in humidity and abrupt temperature fluctuations. To preserve its beauty and integrity, regular maintenance is recommended. Periodic applications of common and specific protective oil-based treatments can prevent the development of a silver-grey patina on the surface. If such patina does occur, it can be easily removed by lightly sanding the surface and then polishing it with a jute cloth.

Promptly address minor surface stains caused by oils or food products to prevent deep absorption by sanding the affected area and then polishing it with a jute cloth. This proactive approach will help maintain the wood's appearance and prolong its lifespan.

Marble and its maintenance:

Marble stands as one of the most esteemed and frequently utilized stones for outdoor applications.

Marble's exceptional composition and inherent characteristics set it apart as a minimally porous, non-absorbent, hard, and resilient stone. These qualities make marble not only valuable but also highly durable over time.

The formation of marble occurs through a metamorphic crystallization process, wherein calcium carbonate interacts with sedimentary rocks, resulting in the formation of crystalline calcite and various minerals that give marble its unique appearance.

Maintenance:

To preserve the lustre of marble and granite surfaces, regular cleaning is essential. Daily upkeep can be achieved by diluting neutral soap in warm water.

Gently scrub the surfaces with a sponge or soft cloth. Afterward, simply rinse with a damp cloth, taking care to ensure no detergent residue remains behind. This routine care will help maintain the natural beauty of your marble surfaces.
